Multiple Cameras with Mixer: The basic configuration is a single camera that pans. However, we can also provide multiple cameras with a video mixer that also allows us to switch between a slide projector and one or more cameras. This provides a more sophisticated live production that resembles a TV broadcast.

Portable Internet: If your location has no Internet or the Internet service is inappropriate, we can bring our own portable modem. This service works in most major urban centres in Canada.
Registration and Database: This option will make the webcast private and secure. Registration helps to ensure that only people interested in the topic will attend online. The accompanying database will provide you with a list of online attendees as a measurement deliverable. The same online registration and database can also be used to access recordings afterwards. GC adheres to Canada's Privacy Act which means a disclaimer is used to explain why information is collected and what is done with it after collection. GC does not retain client databases.

Live Question Box: Two systems are available – “closed” and “open”. The closed system allows web audience members to submit a private question visible only to you and the webcast team. The open system allows everyone online to see all of the questions submitted.

Synchronized Slides: Slides can be handled in one of two ways - either as part of a mixer in which the webcast team switches between camera and slides within the same video display or as separate graphics that appear beside the video.

Promo and Sponsor Messages and Ads: Promotional and marketing video messages from the webcast host and/or sponsors can be inserted into the webcast before and after the event and during breaks. Ready-made video can be supplied to us for insertion or we can create these for you.

Unedited Webcast 30 minutes after Live Broadcast: Once the live webcast is over, the webcast team can connect the recording so that people who missed the live event, or people who wish to replay the event right away, can do so. The server takes about half an hour to save the whole broadcast after which time it can be connected and viewed. The recording is “searchable” through a video navigation slider.

Bilingual Online Technician: The web audience will be able to click a link that opens a separate text chat monitored by our technician. The technician is online 30 minutes before the scheduled webcast and during the entire webcast and will respond to any questions of a technical nature from the audience.

Edited Recordings: Each presentation (including the question and answer session) can be edited as a separate file and posted on the web as “indexed” navigable video so that viewers can go directly to the specific topic they wish to access. Edited recordings are typically posted within a few days to one week of a live broadcast or from when recordings are submitted to us. Recordings can be provided in Windows Media, flash or quicktime formats.

Web Hosting: GC is the only webcast supplier that does not charge for web hosting. The edited recordings can remain on the Internet indefinitely. This free service is only available to webcast clients.

Real-time Captioning: Our captioners will provide a text version of your live webcast in real time. Captioning typically appears in a separate pop-up window for those who wish to view it. All captioning is recorded in a text log.

Text Transcript of Recordings: Captioners, after providing real-time captioning, can review their live text logs to provide more accurate text transcripts of recordings.

Audio Service: For small events such as press conferences, if no sound system is available, we can provide microphones, amplifier and audio mixer for professional audio available at the physical venue and over the webcast.
